Etihad Airways is the National Airline of the United Arab Emirates. The airline was set up by a Royal decree in July 2003, with Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, as its hub. Etihad started commercial operations in November 2003.

Successful candidate will be required to lead internal audits with a primary although not exclusive, focus on the financial side of the airline. This will incorporate areas such as revenue accounting, treasury and hedging, financial reporting, taxation, financial management, insurance, supply chain, human resources, legal, and other corporate services.
In addition it is expected that they will contribute to the strategic development of the Corporate Audit function and ensure that the Department’s values are upheld at all times. A critical success factor for this role will be how professionally the MIA interacts with senior management whilst ensuring the common goal of enhancing shareholder value is achieved
Lead all aspects of audits with competency and on time and contribute to Department’s strategic development (including audit plan, CSA objectives, audit process, etc) and ensure this is endorsed in all aspects of work. Proactively leverage off knowledge and skill strengths of colleagues (HIA, MIA and consultants) to ensure reviews are complete
Ensure own technical skills are always advancing and are being kept in line with international best practice (familiarity with current issues in accounting/auditing, research, Continuing Professional Development) Build on expertise as a leading operational airline auditor by continuously expanding knowledge of one’s own specialist areas
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Commerce or related discipline along with professional qualification from a recognized institution (e.g. CA/ACA/CPA)
Post graduate academic qualification, e.g. Masters Degree, is highly desirable
Minimum 8 years experience at a senior level in auditing within aviation or large organization.
Thorough knowledge of airline operations and areas of common exposure (specifically in financial fields)
