CHIEF FINANCE OFFICER
• Certified Chartered Accountant / CPA/ MBA with specialization in Finance
• 8 to 10 years of experience with at east 5 years as head of the Department
• A seasoned, matured and Proactive leader with strong analytical skills
• Initial experience should include accounting, followed by experience gathering and evaluating financial information and marketing actionable recommendations to Senior Management.
• Prior experience managing the finance function accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting within a diverse, division based entity is an added advantage.
• Should have a proven track record of introducing change d creating profits in diversified business environments
• An effective communicator at all levels in the organization, with strong oral and written English Language skills and a willingness to share information
Duties & Responsibilities
* PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT
• To undertake responsibility of overall financial management
• Preparation of Group’s Annual Report.
• Manage relationship with Ranks and other sources of funding
• To provide financial leadership and add value in a responsible, profitable and sustainable manner
• To implement and appraise the sales team incentive plans maintaining alignment between departmental and long term organizational goals.
* FINANCIAL CONTROL
• Maintain day-to-day financial control of the operation within budget heads
• Ensure that all finances are properly administered and monitored, including credit control
• Ensure that appropriate financial regulations and controls are in place and in use at all times
• Prepare and review detailed budgets and oversee
implementation of budgets to monitor progress
• Ensure that all financial reporting obligations are met in relation to submissions for finding
• Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems
• Proactively manage cash flow and forecasting systems across all sectors of the group and provide a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism
• Optimize the handling of all banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions.
* STAFF MANAGEMENT
• Ensure, delegating as appropriate, that each service location is adequately managed, staffed and resourced.
• Overview of Policies and Procedures, Employment,
Volunteer and Internship Agreements.
