Job description
Under the overall guidance and directives of Chairman of the Steering Committee, New Doha Port Project, the Project Executive Director will insure that the overall the design, completion of construction, testing and commissioning of the new port is carried out within the approved programme and budget. In particular the incumbent will be the single point of responsibility for the Project and will perform the following duties, but not limited to: - Planning, managing and overseeing the project delivery. - Reviewing and monitoring the design of all parts of the NDPP. - Coordination and implementation of all project activities in accordance with the project plan, timetable and the approved budget. - Supervision of the project budget and human resources.
Qualifications
The Executive Project Director will hold a relevant tertiary qualification from a recognized university. - The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a minimum of 10 years relevant experience in port projects and operations with not less than 10 years experience of delivery and construction of major projects. - The Executive Project Director will have finance and management experience in similar projects together with experience gained from working with international and government organizations. - Personal attributes will include the ability to communicate effectively in both Arabic and English languages.
