Responsibilities

      Carries out advanced scientific and technical efforts related to research projects, such as system design, configuration, and programming. May act as team leader, in particular with problem formulation and procedural determinations. Work has significant impact on project outcomes. Supports and facilitates research efforts by faculty, staff, and students. Assists faculty in deploying research computing infrastructure elements and applications and ensuring that these deployments meet IT security and infrastructure requirements. Assists principal investigators with the creation and supervision of student research projects.

Requirements

 BA or BS in computer science, management of information systems.
 Programming, scripting, and Linux OS experience.
 project planning skills, excellent analytical, technical, reasoning and innovative problem  solving skills.
 ability to function competently in a team environment; ability to interact and communicate.
