Qatar Airways Group has the following position available based in DOHA, QATAR:
Senior Manager - Information Services
The successful candidate's responsibilities would be:
- To manage the overall agreed work programme for assigned business area, align business area specific IT strategy with business strategy as well as overall IT strategy
- To fully understand and translate business area requirements to design, develop/procure, implement and manage IT solutions.
- To stay close to the business so that IT can suggest solutions to the business proactively and improve the business.
- To define application specific strategy for all application systems for assigned business area and manage its life cycle i.e. from "induct to retire".
- To manage all outsourced/hosted IT application services for assigned business area ensuring that service providers meet agreed service levels, the solutions are periodically benchmarked against competitive solutions in terms of functionality, technology and cost and future application strategy is aligned to make sure QR gets the best.
- Ensure delivery of all agreed IT solutions, projects and services to the assigned business area in a timely and cost effective manner.
The candidate should have a degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Numerical disciplines with at least 15 to 20 years of total IT experience out of which at least five years should be at a senior level in IT, ideally within a customer relations and software development environment. Major account experience gained in both multinational and multi-cultural environments would be an added benefit. The candidate should have good knowledge in Business Change, Relationship & Vendor management
Experience in implementing and managing Airport IT systems will be an added advantage. PMP Certification is preferred.
