PHYSIOTHERAPY DEPARTMENT
BACKGROUND:
The Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy (BSPT) degree programme at Ahlia University is a four-year full-time professional degree that prepares students to assume positions in health care settings.
This programme is delivered through a combination of theoretical and clinical teaching. Recently a vacancy has become available for a motivated and skilled degree programme coordinator.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY:
To co-ordinate implementation of the undergraduate Physiotherapy degree programme in the College of Medical & Health Sciences.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
• Plan, organize and manage the teaching schedule for all staff on the BSPT programme.
• Liaise with clinical teaching staff to organize and manage the clinical teaching programme at local hospitals and health centers.
• Assist students with developing their individual study plans.
• Procurement and maintenance of teaching materials and supplies.
• Maintain student records and other related information.
• Assist the Chairman of Department in maintaining Quality Assurance standards
for teaching.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor of Science degree in a health profession such as physiotherapy, nursing or occupational therapy.
• Evidence of experience in administrative duties, preferably in a clinical or academic environment.
• Evidence of strong organizational and communication skills.
• Competence in the use of Microsoft office.
