Job Description : Group Management Accountant, Bahrain

Our client, a Middle East based oil services and trading group is looking for a Group Management Accountant to join its dynamic team in Bahrain to oversee the planning and reporting of its new ventures based in the Middle East and North Africa.

 This high profile role will demand a good attention to detail, covering the progress of young high growth businesses, and achievements against their business plans. The role is newly created, so the candidate must have good initiative and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
 

Responsibilities:

• Monthly consolidation of companies as appropriate in each region.
• Reconciliation of individual balance sheet accounts for each operating entity.
• Conduct the annual budget process, statutory audit and quarterly reforecast.
• Provide analysis on each region after preparation of the financial report and its review.
• Monthly preparation of management accounts (profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statement) for individual companies.
 

Requirements:

• University degree in Finance, ideally CA/ ACCA / CMA / CFA.
• Qualified accountant with at least 5 years relevant experience in an oil trading group in the GCC, ideally with some exposure to international operations.
• Excellent knowledge of Excel and Power Point.
