A leading bank requires a Director of Risk Management to work in Saudi Arabia.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
> Applicants should be a University degree holder in Banking and Finance.
> Preference to applicants with MBA with Islamic Banking and Finance.
> Risk management experience of at least 10 years is needed, ideally in a bank in the GCC.
> Applicants with experience in a bank at a senior level is preferred.
> Should have knowledge of global risk management principles, practices and tools like Basel II as well as the Shariah laws.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
> Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive risk management strategies, frameworks and systems.
> Direct the activities of the Group Risk Management Department to ensure that the group maintains an acceptable risk profile and creditworthiness.
> Manage the Group’s risk framework including risk policies and procedures in order to enable proactive risk management within Shariah compliance norms and best practices.
> Lead the formulation, development and implementation of the Group Risk Management Department strategy in line with company goals.
> Provide strategic direction, motivational leadership and operational oversight for the Group Risk Management Department.
> Prepare regular management reports that include insight, analysis, forecasting and comment on Department performance and results.
> Provide the highest level of advice and recommendations to Group Management on risk guidelines, regulations, compliance requirements and customer due diligence.
