A global bank immediately requires high caliber individuals for the post of Senior Economist to join in Bahrain.
REQUIREMENTS:
> Applicants should be a University degree holder in Economics / Statistics / Quantitative Analysis or equivalent.
> Work experience of minimum 5 years in a same post in a bank in the GCC is required.
> Fluent communication skills in English is required.
> Communication skills in Arabic will be an advantage.
> Should possess excellent knowledge of world affairs and developments.�
> Should possess strong forecasting and analytical skills.
> Able to spot trends between facts and figures.
> Able to use and construct economic models.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
> Travel to specific countries to attend conferences or interviews with government officials, businessmen and economists to improve knowledge of the country concerned.�
> Administer, supervise, develop and produce the projects of the Economics Department in Bahrain .
> Prepare reports for Treasury clients and giving oral presentations on a quarterly basis.
> Undertake an in-depth analysis and research of various countries and their economic situation.
> Produce accurate and timely analysis and forecasts of developing, and some developed countries, in all regions of the world to assess country risk.
> Prepare reports to guide senior management in its lending and investment decisions.�
> Prepare country risk ratings, on a quarterly basis for use by senior management in setting Group country limits.
