ETL Developer Required
Region: Riyadh
Description: The ETL Tool Developer will be responsible for design thru implementation and then subsequent maintenance of complex ETL procedures including performance monitoring and tuning as well as assisting the data architect/business analyst with source/target data research and analysis.
Job Responsibilities:
• Develop and make enhancement on new and existing data systems;
• Work with data teams from initial specification drafting through implementation;
• Draft ETL specifications;
• Perform data analysis/research to verify that -source- data was successfully translated to -target- data
• Report any data anomalies to the data architect and/or business analyst and work closely with them for resolution
• Research and resolve ETL performance issues and perform performance tuning. Work with data architects and DBA's on applicable performance tuning activities
• Participate in the development plans and resource estimation for task planning; and
• Some Production Support duties during off-hours and weekends.
Position Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or relevant work experience;
• Experience working with and able to demonstrate knowledge of complex ETL tool transformations;
• Proven experience working with Flat Files in ETL tools;
• Experience working with very large data sets in ETL projects;
• Experience working with Oracle (9i,10g) databases;
• Strong SQL query-writing ability;
• Experience in ETL performance tuning /optimization;
• Experience identifying, researching, and resolving ETL issues;
• Experience developing complex ETL mappings;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Track record communicating issues and follow-up through issue resolution;
• Self-motivated;
• Demonstrated sound analytical and diagnostic skills;
• Strong Oracle 10g PL/SQL programming
