Job description
Manage the pastry department.
* Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served
* Knows and compiles consistently with portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, pastry rules, policies and procedures
* Create new recipes
* Ensures cleanliness and sanitation of the work station area.
Qualifications
* Ability to read and write in English
* 2-3 years prior experience as Pastry Chef in a high-volume environment
* Knowledge of pastries preparation, presentation methods, techniques and quality standards
* Flexibility to perform assigned tasks independently or as part of a work team
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet frequent goals and deadlines.
