Job Description
1. Working with AIX Logical Volume Manager, performing ODM deletion and replacement of disks from the volume group. Involved in day to day AIX Logical Volume Management. Performing UNIX AIX System Administration routines, migration, paging space and file system changes, mirroring, system booting and recovery, and logical volume striping.
2. Configured and managed the HMC, including users and permissions, software, startup and shutdown, remote access features, network configuration and private network configuration, security features, HMC backup and restore options, and the HMC disaster recovery.
3. Performing SMP booting, error reporting and allocation of physical partitions from disks.
4. Managing user logins- adding, modifying and deleting user accounts. Managing Disks and File Systems. Setting up local and remote printers.
5. Involved in day-to-day troubleshooting for the end users on UNIX AIX based applications. 6. Responsible for Support and reliable maintenance of the applications running on AIX.
7. Troubleshooting and analysis of hardware and software failures for AIX servers (core dump and log file analysis). Performing tuning of AIX server including CPU processes, workload utilization.
8. Backup policy and disaster recovery through IBM Tivoli Storage Manager.
9.Architectural design, implementation and administration of IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for backup of all AIX, Windows and Linux server and disaster recovery.
10. Responsible to plan and design the monitoring of OS, Database, Webspare and MQ using IBM Tivoli Monitoring 6.1.
11. Implemented Tivoli Storage Manager 5.3 and configured IBM tape library 3584 with 12 SAN drives.
12. Implemented 120 backup & archive client on windows, Linux and AIX servers.
13. Implemented Tivoli Storage Manager for mail (Lotus Domino Server).
14. Integrated Tivoli Storage Manager API to backup db2 database. Configured backup of multiple instances in one system and multiple databases in single instance

Profile Graduate Engineer / MCA / M.Sc (Computer Science) Min 6 yrs of experience in AIX administration and TSM for a large organization. Excellent communication skill.
