Our client based in Kuwait is looking for Candidate to work as drilling Engineer. The candidate must have B.SC degree in appropriate Engineering Discipline with 6 years of experience in Oil exploration environment including one spent on rig operations and on site familiarization.
Job responsibilities include to perform a variety of drilling engineering duties for the purposes of planning the details on individual drilling operation and /or rig work over operations or designing improvements to methods in current use, includes information such as type of rig , drill bit and casing to be used , specification of the drilling fl uid , method of recycling drilling fluid , design of the rig location , Calculation of pressures, requirement for weights, stabilizers and blow -out preventers, and all general safety procedures, carries out detailed cost analysis for each drilling operation, involves calculating equipment required, time schedules and contractors charges, undertakes special projects as requested by supervision ,e.g. analysis of problem at a particular well , recommendation to improve a particular feature of the drilling operations or investigation of new types of Equipment /Material coming on the market, interprets electric log printouts , in Liaison with Geology and reservoir department, visit rigs to discuss problems with drilling contractor, liaise with purchasing department to order the required equipment and materials carries out periodic inventories of KOC drilling equipment.
