The plant is located in Mesaieed in Qatar, some 40 kilometers from the capital Doha which is growing into a modern business centre and busy air traffic hub for the region.
SENIOR ACCOUNTANT - FIXED ASSETS
This position will ensure Fixed Asset accounting activities are performed in a Timely and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and Accounting Standards. This role will be a critical part of the accounting department, and will be performing general ledger work in addition to fixed assets.
- maintenance of Fixed Asset Register in SAP including transactions relating to assets acquisition resulting from completion of assets under construction (capitalization)
- Asset retirements Periodic and unplanned, depreciation postings according to month end close deadlines.
- Creation and maintenance of Project (Work Breakdown Structures) and Fixed Assets within the accounting system.
- Support the continuous update and maintenance of project and Fixed Assets systems and interfaces, including procedure documentation.
- Processing of month end depreciation and project settlements.
Qualifications and Experience :
- University degree in a related field. CA, CPA or ACCA preferred
- 5 to 8 years of experience in similar position, preferable in Manufacturing company,
- proficiency in MS office, (Word , Excel), SAP expereicne is essential
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and must be fluent in English
