Job Description:

Leading and highly respected bank requires a Legal Counsel VP to

provide in-house legal advice, guidance and services to the bank a

nd its subsidiaries under the supervision of the Group Head of Legal.

Job Responsibilities:

• Managing legal cases, both for and against the bank.

• Identify legal risks under the laws of various countries in which it

conducts its business and advise management appropriately.

• Prepare and revise standard legal documentation for conventional and Islamic transactions, so as to create precedents to be used by the Group.

• Review legal documents prepared by third parties,

draft and prepare legal documents and contracts tor use by the bank.

Qualification Requirements:

• Qualified lawyer with a professional license to

practice in court or provide legal advice.

• Fluent English and Arabic (verbal & written) skills.

• Broad knowledge and experience in the laws relevant to international

business in general and international banking and finance in particular.

• Extensive experience within a bank ideally with familiarity

in Trade Finance, Treasury, Project & Structured Finance,

Syndications, Corporate & Institutional Banking in the GCC.

• Ability to develop contacts internally with senior management as well

as externally, such as the Central Bank of Bahrain officials.
