Job Description:
Purpose and Scope Provides specialist advice to the PDD Teams and PDD Management in ADCO. This includes highly specialized and unique expertise in at least one (but potentially in more) of the following areas: assignments for Exploration and Reservoir development. This Includes interpretation of seismic geometries, facies and sequences, synthetic seismograms, quantification of well to seismic matches, effects of pore fill modeling on synthetic seismograms, specialized litho seismic studies (amplitude versus offset, versus azimuth if applicable), link between seismic interpretation and reservoir modeling, potential plays, prospects and redevelopment opportunities, quantification of uncertainties. Ensure with other specialists the integration of geophysical input into multi-disciplinary studies (i.e. integrated sub-surface model, etc). Depending on the scope of work for this specialist area of expertise in ADCO, the role may be a full time job or combined with other activities (studies, coordination…). Advises on quality control monitoring tools to ensure adherence to recognized industry and ADCO standards for his/ her area of expertise. Acts as authority on his/ her specialist area of Geophysics and ensures that lessons learned are shared with all Teams. Accountabilities Key Performance Indicators • Depending on the scope of work for this specialist area (see above), accountabilities may be combined with e.g. level 5 accountabilities for a senior interpretation geophysicist. • In addition the following accountabilities apply for his/ her specialized area of expertise. • Depending on the scope of the job, e.g. level 5 KPIs for a senior interpretation geophysicist may also be included here. • Leads across team task forces and initiates/ contributes to studies and work plans. • Optimum results from task forces, studies • Colleagues and team members feedback. • Reviews detailed proposals for activities/ studies for all Asset Teams and recommends available alternatives.
Profile:
Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Geophysics or Mathematics/Physics or equivalent. Over 15 years geophysical experience, with at least 8 years hands on experience in the specific expertise area.
Education: Basic - Bachelor of Science ( Geology , Physics )
