Job Description:
Description of the Job Plan/conduct/coordinate basin modeling studies using the software licensed to ADCO (Petromod) to understand the hydrocarbon distributions in ADCO fields and discoveries. Work with the Geochemist to produce calibrated basin models that can be used in predicting charge to exploration opportunities (i.e. concepts, leads and prospects) in the ADCO concession areas. Advice support Team Leader inn a planning/implementing geochemical and/or basin modelling analyses/studies, and if these are outsourced, liaises with contractor to QC the result. Coach/mentor colleagues/subordinates to enhance the Team's overall technical abilities/skills. Together with the Team Leader, Exploration Specialist and Geochemist plan and coordinate basin modeling studies required to be carried out as routine part of the exploration process flow. Review and integrate the result of previous geochemistry and basin modeling studies/evaluation; as well as identify data gaps or additional gaps or additional work required (e.g. geochemical analyses of fluid/rock samples to constrain or for input to petroleum system modeling). Obtain necessary input data (e.g. depth grids, stratigraphic layers, facies etc) from other members (Geologist, Geophysicist and Specialist) and generate petroleum systems models to understand HC distributions in the fields and discoveries, and predict or assess the charge risk on a concept, lead or a prospect).
