GIS Specialist
Region: Saudi Arabia
Description: Skills:
Work with Public Safety divisions to coordinate and implement GIS activities, to include the development of project objectives, evaluation of adequacy of existing data sources, creation/modification of GIS coverage, databases, analysis and
preparation of final output products.
• Critically examine source documents and material for applicability in producing mapping products and updating digital databases.
• Analyze conflicting source material, overlapping spatial conflicts, variable reliability of source data, resolve conflicting
information and produce mapping products are appropriate for training and support uses.
Identify requirements and implement analytical techniques necessary to solve GIS issues.
• Provide technical user support for al aspects of geospatial data and software.
Create and maintain the 3D Terrain Database.
• Use various tools to adapt and create Terrain Files and Open Flight Files for use in 3D visualization tools and applications.
• Successful candidate will have broad technical experience in imagery and familiarity with a variety of remote sensing systems.
Education & Experience:
• Bachelors Degree is required
• 5 or more years experience with GIS
• Experience with CAD operations centers, planning cells and operational planning teams.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the Kingdom
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and computer literacy.
