Job Description

Its global footprint includes Jordan, Kuwait and India and it operates in a total of 15 major airports.They also provide world class aviation solutions including ground support, cargo management, engineering, airport lounges, and is affiliated with leading industry organizations Keys and Responsibilities :- Reporting to the Group General Counsel, the Director of Insurance and Risk Management -- MEA and Corporate, will provide administrative direction and support to the global insurance program and other local insurance programs relevant to the MEA and Corporate organizations of the Company. This support includes: • Identification of both insurable and non insurable risk • Advising senior management and other internal clients of potential exposures • Proposing risk reduction strategies • Proposing risk financing mechanisms, including potential insurance coverage or financial transfer of risk • Maintain familiarity with insurance markets and stability

• Manage day-to-day activities related to the adjustment/resolution of any and all accidents or claims submitted including DBA, general liability, automobile liability, automobile physical damage, D&O and property programs.
• Receive and review all accident reports and associated documentation; follow-up as needed regarding circumstances of accident/incident if indicated.
• Provide insurer with accident documentation; obtain and provide supplemental information as requested.
• Coordinate investigation, working with independent adjusters as necessary. Negotiate settlements or deny claims. Process related invoices and settlements.
• Serve as the initial point of contact for many risk management related inquires. Dispense advice and recommendations on institutional risk management policy and procedure as appropriate, or determine appropriate party to refer inquiry.
• Collect information and maintain databases that support the underwriting and insurance premium allocation process relevant to the MEA region and Corporate. Track exposure changes, update databases, and ensure changes follow through to allocation process
• Assist with insurance renewal submissions and proposals and processes all invoices related to insurance renewals. Review all invoices for accuracy. Maintain insurance files and related database.
• Research, evaluate, and make recommendations regarding current and state of the art trends in risk management, loss control and claims management strategies.
• Identify and analyze the potential impact of exposures faced by various Group businesses operating in the Middle East/Africa region and address the financial impact of these exposures.
• Assist with the global insurance coverage program development, including working with other insurance directors within the Group as well as the brokers at all levels to obtain coverage, renew coverage, and revise coverage as needed.
• Provide consultation and technical advice on various insurance issues relating to new programs, contracts, and affiliation agreements, particularly related to Defense Base Act coverage and open cargo and other freight-related coverage.
• Working with Corporate Finance, maintain and continually revise as needed the financial and operational records that support the insurance, risk management, and legal operations affecting business liability exposures.
• Responsible for data management including statistical trending of losses, analysis of patterns, and analysis of incurred costs.
• Responsible for data collection, verification, and transmission of exposure data to actuary, auditors and brokers, and others as required.
• Review and maintain insurance policies, analyzes existing policies for coverage, endorsements and exclusions, anticipates and deals with policy expirations and renewals.
• Coordinate closely with other insurance directors within the company. Develop and prepare insurance program presentations to senior management or local management, as needed.
• Participate in setting, documentation and ongoing evaluation of reserves.
• Develop ongoing analysis of current losses as they might or will impact breach of reinsurance. Assures appropriate notifications are transmitted
. • Supervise insurance support staff in the MEA region and oversee the documentation of provider claims histories, insurance verifications, and maintaining records of off-site activities.
• All other duties incidental to the work described herein Requisites -- 1. Knowledge of accounting principles usually acquired through a bachelor's degree in a related field 2. At least five or more years of experience in an accounting, insurance, risk management or related setting to become knowledgeable of accepted practices involved in monitoring and managing insurance claims. Knowledge of or experience with commercial insurance and claims handling in insurance lines, such as general liability, automobile liability, automobile physical damage and property, is highly desirable. Additionally, familiarity with US government contracting and Defense Base Act coverage requirements and related claims handling experience would be preferred 3. Proficiency in MS Office package such as Word and Excel, Powerpoint Presentation; e-mail and internet 4. Competencies --
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills required.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize and handle simultaneous tasks and meet deadlines.
• Professional judgment, decision-making and discretion a must.
