Ma'aden was formed as a Saudi joint stock company on 23 March 1997 (corresponding to 14/11/1417H) for the purpose of facilitating the development of Saudi Arabia’s mineral resources. To date Ma'aden's activities have focused on its active gold business which has grown in recent years to include the operation of five gold mines: Mahd Ad Dahab, Al Hajar, Sukhaybarat, Bulghah, and Al Amar. Ma'aden is also developing one more mining property in Ad Duwayhi and has five advanced exploration projects.
Job description
The Senior Electrical Engineer is Responsible for managing the day to day activities required To take the Electrical engineering function for the aluminium power project through the Construction and mobilization phase to an operating company / SBU.
Manages the Electrical scope of the power plant as well as the associated technical and commercial challengers to reach the goals of the Aluminium project.
Develops Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Manages successful inter relations of the power project with respect to the aluminium, phosphate, infrastructure projects, managing the technical and commercial interfaces to Support those projects.
Manages the Electrical Engineering activities of the Owner Engineer and EPC Contractors, and ensures the appropriate standards for design and construction Are used to ensure the long term safe and efficient operation of the power plant
HAZOP - Manages the EPC Contractors and ensures that HAZOP or similar studies are undertaken at appropriate stages in the development of the project and that risks identified are addressed in the engineering design.
Project Plans - Updates project plans to reflect progress and ensures the timely completion of the project, Highlighting key milestones and critical paths.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a Electrical Engineering discipline. Post degree qualification project management would be an advantage.
Minimum 10+ years' work experience in power station operations/project management of which 5+ years is related to design and operation of modern steam plant.
High proficiency in English.
