Looking for Sales Manager for one of the largest food and non-food FMCG distributors in KSA.

 

Responsibilities are:

 

  • To achieve agreed distribution, sales and collection targets in a specified territory, in mass market outlets, i.e. Groceries, Mini Markets and Supermarkets. This may include one or more branches within the assigned territory.
  • Motivate and manage a team of Sales Supervisor(s), Special Accounts Salesmen, Wholesale Salesmen, Retail Van Salesmen and Merchandisers.
  • Ensure that all discipline norms are maintained by the above ranks, such as following PJPs, achieving full day by day coverage of the market, prompt addressing of trade requirements and complaints etc.
  • Account reconciliation of each member of reporting sales staff and customers to ensure against misuse by Retail Van Salesmen and adhering to credit period allowed to each customer, such that receivables are well managed and a healthy cash flow is maintained.
  • Daily monitoring of achievement of daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal and yearly aims and objectives.
  • Ensure that the Company’s product range is effectively merchandised and well displayed, including proper use of merchandisers, hired display space and POS material.  
  • Provide excellent service to the trade, by ensuring regular coverage by sales and / merchandising staff, supply of the right products at the right price at the right time to ensure planned and targeted off take.
  • Taking responsibility and ownership of Company property, like freezer and chiller cabinets at customer outlets and monitoring their deployment, relocation, withdrawal and for sales throughput. 
  • Motivate trade and build strong relationships though efficient use of trade schemes, loyalty and reward programmes, to facilitate easy entrance to new outlets / markets and to maintain strong brand presence in every channel being serviced.
  • Continually report industry and competitor activity and maintain vigilance to ensure that any changes in the market are informed promptly to reporting authorities. This will include new product / SKU launches, change in packaging, trade schemes, advertising and promotional activities, payment terms etc.
  • Identify growth prospects and participate in setting of healthy targets for overall and clear cut improvement in top and bottom lines from the assigned territory.
  • Reporting to Area Sales Manager within a region and through him, to Commercial Manager at Head Offegion and through him, to Commercial Manager at Head Off
