Senior Legal Counsel
Our client, a leading Middle East based investment bank is seeking a Transactional Legal Counsel to join its team in Qatar. The successful candidate who reports directly to the COO and CEO will be a senior associate who has to provide advice and represent the bank on legal issues as well as liaise with external counsel, on behalf of the bank.
Responsibilities:
This highly attractive role will encompass the complexities of advising both the front and middle office management on the nature and structure of the deal. Pre-validation is required in assessing the proposed deals as well as seeing the transaction through the middle to end stages. The role will require candidates to work very closely with internal departments as well as current and prospective clients. The lawyer will be consulted on any issues and business that arises with the bank and its clients.
Requirements:
The candidate chosen for this role must have excellent academics and great market knowledge of the investment banking sector. The ideal candidate will have approximately 7 years PQE gained in a leading law firm in the GCC, preferably, from an investment bank or finance boutique. Candidates from all nationalities are encouraged to apply, provided the incumbent has impeccable English.
