The American University of Ras Al Khaimah is seeking a highly skilled professional to serve the President and other executives in the administrative wing. This is a challenging and exciting opportunity for someone who:
is well organized, has strong management skills and is a problem solver is able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously is able to project a positive image, has keen protocol and social skills is able to interact collegially and positively with staff, faculty and students has excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint has excellent communication skills including strong English skills, both verbal and written has integrity and confidentiality is willing to work a flexible and demanding schedule and willing to do clerical and other tasks required of a start-up university The individual will be responsible for being the front line person for individuals coming to the administration, preparing correspondence and reports, setting appointments, taking minutes at meetings, coordinating special projects, preparing travel requests, assist with special events and campus activities, and support the activities of the senior administrative team. The ideal candidate will have a degree and a minimum of five (5) years of executive experience. Candidates who are bi-lingual will have preference as will those with familiarity or experience in higher education.
Individuals should also provide a list of three references, one of which must be a current or immediate past supervisor, with name, phone and e-mail addresses.
