Job Description
The company is a reputed aviation services provider to airlines and airports worldwide. Its global footprint includes Jordan, Kuwait and India and it operates in a total of 15 major airports.They also provide world class aviation solutions including ground support, cargo management, engineering, airport lounges, and is affiliated with leading industry organizations Keys and Responsibilities :- In charge of the whole Ground Handling Activities as well as Airport Services related units. Directs and manages the various aspects of the business by coordinating the different activities performed by operational departments. Ensures the highest standards in service delivery including the safety and security of the stakeholders at Airport through direct and indirect monitoring of activities. Controls expenses and ensures maximum output from resources. Develops excellent relationships with airport authority and related Governmental bodies to facilitate activities and ensures removal of red-tape. Participate with senior management in developing the Company’s strategy
Desired Candidate's Profile
Profile Personnel Administration A. Supervision and management of all personnel within the operational departments. B. Completes direct subordinates’ annual performance reviews and ensures that annual performance reviews of all personnel are completed by designated supervisors’ on-time. C. Monitors and encourages delegation of authorities for more flexible environment. D. Participates in the development of job reviews and organizational structure Fiscal Management A. Check and submit annual budget proposals from each operations departments for CEO’s approval. B. Monitor monthly performance of operation departments and prepare corrective plans. C. Oversee and controls monthly expense, operation wise Public Relations Management A. Represents, when authorized, the within the Governmental bodies such as Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Interior, Customs Authority, etc. B. Represents the within industry’s organizations such as GASA, IGHC, IAHA, etc. in the absence of the CEO and MD. C. Represents the in public forums and professional meetings as directed by the CEO. D. Provides feed back and comments on marketing plan from operational point of view Sales and Agreements A. Participates in Ground Handling offer preparation and price quotation. B. Participates in negotiations with regards to Ground Handling Agreements. C. Provide feedback and comments on commercial deals related to services provided at the Airport Operational Management A. Provides overall direction and controls of activities at Airport to ensure an effective economical operation which includes the provisions of passenger and baggage, traffic handling, aircraft load planning and control, and the development of necessary systems and procedures to meet COMPANY objectives within the framework of related Government regulations. Ensures the proper executions of handling contracts with other carriers. B. Provides overall direction and control of the activities of export/import cargo terminals to ensure effective economical operations and optimizing available resources. Includes the provision of the receipt, acceptance, warehousing and preparation of cargo for loading on the aircraft, cargo delivery to customers, financial planning, budget control and set up of necessary systems and procedures to meet and government requirements. Directs subordinates and liaises with various government and municipal authorities to ensure satisfactory fulfillment of contractual obligations with respect to handling their cargo. C. Directs, reviews and approves the provision of various services related ground handling activities. Includes the Baggage Tracing service and system; Unit Load Device (U.L.D.) provision, handling and maintenance; various Ground Agreements’ negotiation and monitoring, and the development and production of various procedures and documentation necessary to provide operational guidelines and ensure maintenance of quality control in ground handling service. D. Safe Accountability – Accountable to the CEO for the safe and efficient operational management of the airport. E. Safety Responsibility – Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of Safety Management Systems (SMS).. Ensures the commiment throughout the operations departments to the safety management policy intent and safety management system requirements Ensures the awareness of all employees to the safety policy and procedure and that, adequate resources are available to carry out the same. F. Security Responsibility – Ensures that Security Policy adheres to local government regulations and in compliance with ICAO standards. Ensures the awareness of all COMPANY employees of the Safety policy in the daily operations and that, effective and professional security procedures are carried out according to highest industry standards in the best interest of customers and employees G. Carries out other related duties as assigned by the CEO Requisites --
1. College or University graduate. Technical trainings related to aviation / ground handling
2. Minimum 7 years working experience in a managerial position, most be a multi-functional airport handling environment
3. Proficiency in MS Office package such as Word and Excel and good knowledge of Powerpoint Presentation; e-mail and internet
4. Technical Skills - - Passenger handling - Customer service - Ramp operations
5. Competencies -- - Understanding of ground handling agreements - Familiarity with airline operations, policies and procedures - Familiarity with safety analysis and risk assessment - Leadership skills - Fluency in English language
