Qatar Foundation is an established organization, with a variety of Centres, programs and plans for expansion, our process began with designing/reworking the mission statement of the Foundation and the Centres and then looking at the broader issues of vision.
Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development is a private, chartered, non-profit organization headquartered in Doha, Qatar. The Foundation hosts branch campuses of Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts, Weill Cornell Medical College, Texas A & M University, Carnegie Mellon University and Georgetown University. It is also home to Qatar Academy, the Learning Center, the Academic Bridge Program, the Rand-Qatar Policy Institute, Al-Shaqab Stud and Riding Academy, Fitch Qatar and Qatar Science and Technology Park. Qatar Foundation’s other projects include the Qatar Diabetes Association and the Social Development Center.
Responsibilities
• Builds, manages and maintains components and services based on the technologies and standards adopted in the department as specified by business analyst or software specialist.
• Administrates information systems and maintains, monitors & ensures that they are stable, well designed, effective to use, and properly maintained;
• Builds user interface applications and back-end databases using various programming and scripting languages (XML, HTML, DHTML, ASP, JSP, VB, Java, & Flash);
• Provides support to information systems implementation projects; by setting up development and testing environments independently or with third parties; by acquiring technical knowledge and expertise during training or through hand-on work experience.
• Executes testing scenarios on implemented BSS systems.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent degree.
• Demonstrated expertise in various Web technologies including JavaScript, HTML, XML, ASP, VB, SSL, Security (firewalls/encryption products), Web servers, Browsers.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in any of the following information systems (ERP, CMS, Portal, Student Information System, Library Management System) technical administration or any web based or client server information system.
• Experience in information systems reports development.
• Solid technical knowledge in any of the following technologies ASP, HTML, Visual Basic, SQL, C++, Java.
