Ma'aden was formed as a Saudi joint stock company on 23 March 1997 (corresponding to 14/11/1417H) for the purpose of facilitating the development of Saudi Arabia’s mineral resources.
To date Ma'aden's activities have focused on its active gold business which has grown in recent years to include the operation of five gold mines: Mahd Ad Dahab, Al Hajar, Sukhaybarat, Bulghah, and Al Amar.
Ma'aden is now expanding its activities beyond its gold business with the development of its Phosphate Project, Aluminium Project, and Other Projects.
In addition, since its formation, Ma'aden (through the Ministry of Petroleum & Mineral Resources) has collaborated with the Government and local legislators to develop a regulatory framework for the governance of the mining industry in Saudi Arabia.
Job description
Develops business and strategic plans of SBU to assure that all plans are in line with the corporate Five Year Strategy and Business Development Plan. Compiles and prepares annual budget for the SBU including: Exploration, Operations, Staffing, and Economic Analysis etc. Works with various departments to develop their plans and strategies and follows up on progress of implementation of the plans. Provides leadership to build consensus and to carry-out or commission research in support of this purpose. Assists in preparing reports for Joint Ventures (JV) and for Ma¡¦aden¡¦s Board of Directors meetings Manages the performance of the Planning & Strategy department and ensures efficiency and effectiveness by maintaining the Precious Metals Planning & Strategy System to meet the Company¡¦s approved objectives and goals Develops SBU Precious Metal business plans by liaising with Exploration, Projects, Human Resources and Finance departments, etc., to collect information and data on planned development and activity over the coming five years and incorporate the information into strategic planning systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Business Administration ( Management )Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong presentation
Fluency in spoken and written English
