MARINE ASSISTANT
General Summery
The Holder of this position must have at least 5 years experience in the Marine Industry. Must have knowledge of working in the industry in the ME Region (i.e. Bahrain, Saudi, Qatar, and UAE). Must have a general knowledge of mechanical and electrical parts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
• Assist the Operation Manager with the day to day management of the local office. 
• Establish and maintain contact with essential local contractor and vendors. 
• Purchase parts and supplies from suppliers and vendors. 
• Monitor and maintain the inventory of parts and supplies in container and data base. 
• Maintain files and records of the activities of the local office. 
• Ability to plan and prioritize work, 
• Operate computer and peripheral equipment, able to apply computer knowledge to subject matter. 
• Ability to use spreadsheets, presentation graphics, word processing, and database computer software. 
• Skill in writing legible notes. 
• Must have good phone skills. 
• Must be Customer oriented. 
• Must be able to communicate and work well in an energetic team environment, 
Education and Experience: 
The hold of this position is required to have completed high school and have some level of computer training, either formal or informal, Some oilfields experience would be helpful.
