Key responsibilities:
1. Develop operational relationships with suppliers, and planning and setting inventory and replenishment objectives for assigned parts.
2. Ensure the creation and maintenance of supplier schedules, purchase orders, and forecasts are clearly communicated to suppliers and supply commitments are received.
3. Responsible for overall coordination of operational buying activities to ensure a continuous supply of materials.
4. Monitor emerging issues and changing business environments, and take pro-active mitigating action as required Analyze supplier trends, follows up on orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records of material movements Create supplier schedules and forecasts.
5. Work with suppliers to continuously improve performance on quality, cost, and inventory objectives Prepare, issue, and analyze bids and contracts, ensuring compliance with legal guidelines, contracting principles, and cost effectiveness.
6. Research, develop and maintain a matrix of cost impacts and purchase agreement contracts.
