Senior Design Engineer, Towers & Galvanizing, Zamil Steel Industries

Job Purpose:
Under the direct supervision of the Engineering Manager, the job is expected to coordinate, design and estimate tower supply weight and prepare technical proposal at tender stage; shall likewise design transmission line and communication towers, substation structures for different contracts undertaken by the division for supply of towers and substation structures, check designs done by design engineers and witness tower testing for transmission line towers.

Person Specification:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years as Design Engineer of Transmission / Telecom Towers and Substation structures.
• In-depth knowledge in Structural Analysis
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications and Engineering software like GTSTRUDL / STADDD PRO.
• Above Average Communication Skills in English Language (oral and written)
• In-depth Familiarity with International Structural Codes, a must.
• Expertise in Design Connection
• Basic knowledge of estimation is necessary for technical proposal.
• Basic supervisory skills.
