Job Profile: Network Engineer

Job Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Requirement: Saudi Nationals/ other nationalities except indian, pakistant and filipino but the candidate should have transferable iqama.

Purpose of the job

Install, maintain and support computer communication networks within the company, in order to ensure a smooth operation of communication networks, and in order to provide maximum performance and availability for their users/ employees.

Key Accountabilities

1.    Set up & Installation

Install, support, and maintain new server hardware and software infrastructure, in order to improve and develop the infrastructure base in the company.

2.    IT Security

Manage email, anti-spam and virus protection, in order to keep the data safe and available with less failure.

3.    Problem Solving

Provide ICT solutions as a second level support to employee’s ICT related problems, in order to have a flexible approach to work and solve problems accordingly.

4.    Maintenance

Undertake routine preventative measures and implementing, maintaining and monitoring network security, in order to keep the network connected to the system efficiently and safely. 

5.    Virus Protection

Install approved anti-virus program on all network nodes and ensure it is current at all times. Additionally, make periodical checks to ensure that all PCs and networks are protected from viruses.

6.    Backup

Backup data & software, using standard approved backup procedures. Store backup media in predefined storage area and maintain log as evidence to compliance of backup policy.

7.    Network Connectivity

Act as liaison with service providers to ensure communication networks are efficiently operating.

8.    Software Installation

Carry out necessary software installation on networks, in order to maintain the availability and update.

Job Requirements

·         Educational level: Bachelor Degree in IT

·         Specific diploma/education: Microsoft and CISCO Certifications

·         Minimal experience: 2-5 Years

·         Languages: English
