The Arabic Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced sous chef to support and grow the company’s foodservice operations in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province. The position offers the opportunity to assist the executive chef, working with Fillfilah Restaurants, one of the region’s predominant quick-service venues, and Fillfilah Catering, one of the Eastern Province’s most respected events catering and managed foodservice providers. The perfect role for an individual excited by and well-versed in vibrant Arabic dishes and authentic Arabic hospitality, AHG’s new sous chef will oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, managing and supporting the company’s extensive culinary team.
Applicants must have demonstrated experience overseeing kitchen operations for a major foodservice company, with knowledge of both restaurant and catering systems of operation. The ability to enable a staff to produce quality, innovative orders that meet deadlines and budgets is essential.

* A minimum of a bachelors degree in the culinary arts.
* Five years of prior valid culinary experience working as a chef for quick-service restaurants and/or a catering company, with at least three years working as a sous chef.
* Experience preparing Arabic and Western cuisines.
* Demonstrated administrative skills, including ordering supplies, managing a team of 20 and ensuring kitchen cleanliness.
* The ability to read and write in both Arabic and English.
* Demonstrated knowledge of recipes, yield and portioning skills, with prior experience mass-producing recipes and ensuring product quality.
