JOB OBJECTIVE:
To provide technical output and support for mechanical engineering requirement, to assist and co-ordinate supporting of
technical budgeting, control and scheduling mechanical activities. Participates in preparation of quotations, concept
development, regular projects, mechanical completion and commissioning of products.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Description
Conducts research and studies of mechanical equipment performance in drilling units including feasibility and detail
engineering design
Identifies optimum mechanical equipment for developing new or under developed drilling units
Provides technical support to resolve operational/maintenance issues related to the change in design and prepares the related
technical reports & advises technical recommendations in order that meaningful decisions can be made
Supports the company to absorb new technologies in his discipline and develops engineering change packages for engineering
design modifications & changes activities
Ensures applicability of technical standards, ABS class rules and any other rules & regulations in his discipline
Review technical procedures of new designed equipment/systems to ensure compliance with design specifications, standard
rules/regulations and safety codes
Carries out evaluations, clarifications, wide decisions for equipment modifications or new replacement within the budget in
his discipline
Complies and adheres with company procedures and Integrated Management System (IMS)
Assures achieving the position KPI as assigned & designated by the company
Responds to departmental requests for changes in existing systems/equipments to modify/enhance the system/equipment to obtain
desired results in a safe and cost effective manner complying with standard rules & regulations
Ensure engineering function is carried out in accordance with approved plans and schedules, compatible with the existing
systems and operate without causing any system conflict
Carries out other similar or related duties such as submitting periodic or special reports as requested, identifying and
organizing specialized training requirements
Prepare and present all required technical presentation in line with the mechanical subjects which under responsibility

Qualifications:
B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
At least 15 years in the same field (Offshore/Onshore) with min 5 years in same position
Skills:
Computer (Windows, MS Office)
Technical report writing
Strong team player, effective at communicating and coordinating processes with others
Fluent English language (spoken/written)
