Job description
1. Performs required service, repairs, and overhauls of automotive and diesel engines and transmissions.
2. Performs preventive maintenance and makes inspections of vehicles for proper working order and safe operation.
3. Repairs brakes, mufflers, tail pipes and hydraulic systems.
4. Provides engine tune-ups and diagnostic electrical systems checks.
5. Maintains shop equipment and tools used in the service of motor vehicles.
6. Prepares estimates of time, parts, and materials needed for repairs.
7. May fabricate parts and equipment and perform body work to repair vehicles.
Qualifications
Completion of sufficient education or training to read and write; plus five years of progressively more responsible experience in mechanics and Heavy Hydraulic Mechanic.
Technical Qualification
Well Experience Trailers, Mobile Cranes, Heavy trucks.
