Job Description List of activities:
Participate in a major project and master the process automation in„X order to develop into an automation team capable of taking care of the smelter¡¦s day-to-day operations and future project requirements „X Provide pre-operational verification and commissioning support including start-up of equipment Ensure reliable operation of automation equipment in their area of„X accountability i.e. PLC¡¦s, HMI¡¦s, AC Drives, RTS¡¦s, Pot Control Systems and the automation networks. This service would include hardware and software support. „X Debugging and troubleshooting on automation equipment and automation networks. „X Provide support to the operational areas to initiate and develop improvements to meet production and quality objectives. „X Provide automation support for process control and optimisation. „X Provide support to the First Response Team and area maintenance technicians to assist with automation related breakdowns. „X Advise and recommend automation training needs for the maintenance technicians. Provide coaching to technicians. Provide automation and technical support to determine automation„X policies and to ensure the changing technological requirements of the smelter operations are met. „X Change management ¡V manage software change control Create, complete and review design documentation i.e. functional„X specifications; automation procedures and policies; networking topologies; conceptual designs; loop drawings; schematics; loop drawings and control panel layout drawings. „X Spares management - management of the automation spares agreement. „X Act as a mentor to area automation engineers and technicians
