Job Description:
A Middle East based commercial bank is looking for a Business Head to join its expanding team in Kuwait. The successful candidate has to manage and control a portfolio of assets and liabilities relating to Corporate Banking activities of the branch with a view to maintain quality service standards , efficiency earnings of the branch and quality assets.
Job Responsibilities:
• Develop the strategy for marketing and selling activities of the branch.
• Supervise and manage the reviewing and analyzing process before credits are recommended to Head Office.
• Assist in implementing overall bank strategy under the branch responsibilities.
• Manage the analysis of the market to identify potential customers and identify suitable products to be marketed.
• Control implementation and ensure compliance with policies, procedures and Central Bank of Kuwait regulations.
• Develop the marketing team of the branch through coaching and guiding on technical matters as well as joint calls to customers.
• Manage the development of new business that will generate increased income and will positively impact overall profitability of the branch.
• Plan and implement the process for regular calling on existing and potential customers and whereby necessary with senior management of the branch at Head Office.
• Ensure that the assets of the branch (loans and contingent) are adequately protected through constant evaluation of risks of individual as well as total portfolios by various sections.
Qualification Requirements:
• University Degree in economics or business administration.
• Professional Banking Qualification desirable.
• At least fifteen years in banking with no less than Eight years in a corporate area
and managerial position in the GCC.
• Leadership skills, strong analytical skills and decisive decision-making skills.
• Must have excellent communication, planning, presentation and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment, presenting a professional image and commanding
the respect of team, peers, and management. Ability to be flexible.
• Bilingual –Arabic and English is a must.
