Job Description:
Identifies and gathers information on global and domestic economic parameters that are relevant to Ma¡¦aden Phosphate SBU business. Identify and interpret industry trends. Prepares competitors profiles and monitors their business initiatives. Prepares Phosphate SBU SWOT report and compares this with existing and potential competitors.
č Prepares macro economic analysis of the markets covering agriculture & fertilizer industry.
ƒç Identifies major players in the phosphate industry and prepares SWOT analyses (Ma¡¦aden¡¦s internal strengths and weaknesses and internal opportunities and threats) and help the Phosphate SBU to better understand its present capabilities.
ƒç Provides full assistance in the development of SBU¡¦s strategic and business plans by providing the relevant & updated background economic analysis of the industry.
ƒç Establish critical success factors and carry out exercise to identify strategic thrusts for the SBU¡¦s strategic initiatives.
č Compile the outcomes of the strategic process and prepare the proposed strategic plans.
ƒç Assists the SBU in its development of its ¡¥operational plans¡¦ and ¡¥budgets¡¦ in alignment with its strategy / strategic plan.
č Works with the Phosphate Projects Office and their Advisors to ensure that project information reflected in the corporate plan are accurate and realistic.
č Regular contacts at all levels within the Business Unit on planning and strategy issues. Works closely with the Exploration, NBD and Phosphate Projects Office and with Finance Division regarding financial modelling issues and in data input to financial models. Frequent contacts outside the Company with Commercial, Financial and Technical Advisors and with local and international business venture representatives
č Develops Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Desired Candidate's Profile
Profile
ƒç Bachelor¡¦s degree in university degree in Economics preferably at post-graduate level specializing in econometrics, macroeconomics or quantitative economics.
č Plus 10+ years experience in planning at a senior level with proven ability to research and be creative.
č Experience in financial modeling using Excel.
č Should be fully conversant about the strategic and business planning processes and should be able to singly or jointly with superior or peers help in conducting the relevant workshops for development of the plans.
č Excellent knowledge of corporate strategy and finance theory and practice
č Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong presentation
č Fluency in spoken and written English
č Leadership, Achievement Drive, Teamwork & Collaboration Knowledge of Microsoft application and related mining & marketing software
