Position Lead :Electrical Design Engineer

Job Description :
Capable of leading a small team of Engineers & Designers and take independent decisions.
• Responsible for the FEED/Conceptual and Detail Engineering of small & medium size projects related to Oil & Gas Industry.
• Capable of preparing engineering deliverable such as Drawings, Scope of Work, Design Basis Memorandum, Site Survey Reports, Specifications, Data sheets, Calculations, Technical Write-ups, Tender documents, etc. in full compliance with client requirements.
• Review designs against project requirements, standards, specifications, design criteria, and basic engineering principles.
• Support the management, engineering and construction teams on different issues.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and report to the Engineering/Project Manager.
• Prepare project procedures and assist the team in implementing those procedures.
• Provide training to Junior engineers.
Desired Candidate's Profile
Profile • 10-15 years design experience out of which 5-years in the Oil & Gas field.
• Competent in Hazardous Area engineering
• Experienced in preparing man-hour estimates and tender documents
• Clear understanding of progress reporting requirements
• Capable of preparing Progress Schedule/Bar Chart, S-Curve, Check-list etc.
•Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
• Sound judgment in setting individual and team priorities
• Highly developed analytical skills
• Demonstrate effective project management skills
• Familiar with International Standards and preferably Qatar Petroleum Engineering Standards.
• Awareness about QA/QC & HSE requirements
• Experience in design of power systems upto 132kV as well as low voltage.
• Capable of designing electrical systems (LV, MV), including electrical power and distribution systems, lighting design, protection & control, MV/Lv Switchgear, DC & UPS Systems, LV/MV Cable Systems, communications cabling, lightning protection, etc.
• Knowledge in ETAP and Power System Studies and Protection, is an advantage.
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
