JOB REQUIREMENTS:
> Applicants should be an Engineering Degree holder.
> Work experience of at least 7 to 8 years is needed.
> Should be able to draw material take off from the drawings.
> Need ability to understand and translate specifications.
> Need ability to read engineering related drawings.
> MS-Office skills is required.
> Skills in any estimation tools / soft wares will be an advantage.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
> Analyses the tender documents and scope of work given by the client.
> Prepares a project scope summary.
> Highlighting the LPD works and work to be subcontracted and forwards to the Estimation Manager for his review.
> Sends the RFQs of the requirements to the potential suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors as per the directives of the Estimation Manager.
> Co ordinates with the suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to explain or understand the technical specifications of the materials and equipments.
> Prepares project cost estimates in terms of the required material as per bill of quantities (BOQ), amount of work, material/ equipment/ and manpower requirements during the tendering phase.
> Co ordinates with the concerned Project Manager/ Engineers to estimate the required technical requirements,manpower for
the project scope and verifies with the Planning Engineer.
> Collect all the final prices.
> Prepares the final “Bill of quantity” (BOQ) of the project.
> Send BOQ to the Estimation Manager for review and further action.
> Sends the final estimation documents, budgets and final BOQ to the Senior Estimation Engineer / Estimation Manager, after the project has been awarded.
