Job Description:
Our client, a global insurance organization is looking for a Head of Claims to join
their team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate who reports to the COO regarding
operational claims management, has to ensure the delivery of superior claims handling
services in a timely, efficient and effective manner.
Responsibilities:
• Perform systematic quality control (claims review), indicate and act on potential
for improvement.
• Steer departments based on the underlying KPIs for productivity and quality of claims to ensure that SLAs are achieved.
• Maintain good relations with brokers, sales agents, other intermediaries and service providers as well as negotiate as required to achieve favorable agreements.
• Develop and implement claims guidelines and strategy and ensure compliance, in particular assuring audit ability.
• Ensure benchmarks are met regarding execution of the different steps in the value chain for claims management.
Qualification Requirements:
• University degree in Banking and Finance, ideally, Insurance qualification such as AIII/ FIII/ ACII.
• Experience in project management and supervision of external service providers.
• At least seven years of professional managerial experience in one or more lines of property, life and health insurance operations in the insurance industry in the GCC.
