Job Description :
This opening is with one of our clients who is a leading name in the Gulf and the job location is Doha, Qatar. Job Profile is Plans, develops, provides, maintains, upgrades and manages a secure, highly available, efficient, cost effective IT communication and security infrastructure for the Co (and its associates) applications. Meets the needs of the company for secure web access, and of the users for specialized applications. Duties Performed:
a.Assists the IT Manager in strategic planning, mission and vision goals and goals setting related to the section, business alignment planning, capacity planning and disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Short term, mid term and long term project planning. IT related budget forecasting, preparation, approval and procurement and control.
b.Plans, designs, develops, maintains, upgrades and manages the IT infrastructure. Provides measures for high availability and disaster tolerance of the IT infrastructure. Capacity planning, performance, tuning and monitoring of IT infrastructure, in close coordination with Head of IT Operations.
c.Sets-up and executes the network plan through the network technician, to provide a secure and highly available Network infrastructure. This covers the logical and physical network layers, including all active and passive devices. Implements network monitoring and fine tuning mechanism
d.Sets-up and executes a Domino infrastructure through the domino administrator to provide a secure and highly available domino infrastructure. Provides communication, collaboration, workflow-based applications, web applications, document management, learning applications etc.
e.Sets-up and executes a plan through the Web Master to provide secure web access to and from the Internet. Coordinates with the web developer for the design, development and publishing of the Co corporate web site in coordination with Public Relations department.
f.Plans and executes security measures to secure internal network and assets. Ensures availability, integrity and confidentiality of Co’s data and IT assets.Enable manage and monitor Mail routing events to and from the Internet. Constantly monitoring, auditing and reviewing of Internet traffic and web access.
g.Drafts and Implements IT related security policies, procedures, work instructions through IT Security Officer (as assigned by IT Manager). Continuously monitors and audits security related events. Responsible for improving IT security, implements IT security policies and awareness of IT security amongst the users and the management. Implements security related solution to enhance and monitor the security events.
h.Defines, drafts, implements, monitors and enhances all relevant IT business processes and procedures. Participates in the establishment of an industry best standard IT environment.
i.Plans and fulfills the networking, security and specialized software requirement for the user. Arranges to rollout the upgrades and new applications. Manages desktop, server, networking and specialized software licenses. Works closely with IT Manager and Head of IT Operations to determine desktop and server version release strategy.
j.Liaises with vendors and suppliers, coordinates with industries and IT Departments, carries out innovations and research and development in all relevant areas.
k.Performs other similar or related duties such as produces periodic progress reports and plans to the IT Manager and higher management as required. Acts and performs duties of Head of IT Operations in his absence.
Desired Candidate's Profile
Profile Minimum Requirements:
a.Bachelor degree in Computer Sciences (minimum), or Communications or equivalent.
b.8 years diverse information systems experience, with the emphasis on Network, IT infrastructure, Security, Domino and web technologies etc. Ideally in a similar industrial/commercial environment, including at least 4 years' supervisory experience.
c.Must have managed a comprehensive data network, wide area network, IT infrastructure development, IT security issues, Domino infrastructure, web and firewall infrastructure.
d.Very good spoken and written English and good communication and negotiations skills.
