Job Description
* Promote established policy and objectives throughout the department to increase awareness, motivation and involvement.
* Ensure focus on customer requirements throughout the department.
* Ensure that appropriate processes are implemented to enable requirements of customers and other interested parties to be fulfilled and objectives to be achieved.
* Ensure that an effective and efficient quality/HSE management system is established, implemented and maintained in the department to achieve these objectives.
* Plan and carry internal audit in accordance with the documented procedure, and report the performance of the implemented quality systems in the management review meetings.
* Guide and direct the QA / QC Department personnel to maintain the standards expected by the company and to continually seek to improve systems and procedures.
* Ensure that all the QA / QC Department activities comply with the requirements of the Company Quality Procedures and customer specified requirements.
* Ensure that inspection and testing comply with the specified requirements.
* Liaise on quality matters with customers, suppliers and certification authority representatives.
* Maintain Quality Records in accordance with procedures and specified requirements.
* Promote team working and liaise with other departments to maintain the same.
* Perform any other task, to the best of the ability of the job holder that the management may from time to time request.
* Assist the QA/QC Manager in his activities and daily running of the department operations.
* Deputize for the QA /QC Manager in his absence.
* Prepare Project Quality Plan (PQP), Quality System procedures, Quality Control Plan (QCP) Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) in accordance with the applicable quality system standards and or Contractual specification requirements.
* Coordinate on quality matters with project team, customers, suppliers and certification authority representatives.
* Verify raw material certification, product certifications, manufacturing data book and other quality records to ensure that the documentation meets the specified requirements.
* Promote team working and liaise with other departments to maintain the same.
* Perform any other task, to the best of the ability of the job holder that the management may from time to time request.
Additional Requirements:
* Engineering Degree at least 2 years experience in QA/QC related work.
* CSWIP 3.1 Certified.
* With BGAS preferable as well.
Training or Experience and Skills:
* Ability to prepare Quality plan and procedures.
* With knowledge in QMS auditing and reporting as per project requirement.
* Motivate personnel to development and maintenance of quality management system and procedures.
* Good communication skill.
* Proficient in written and spoken English.
* Knowledge to use of appropriate software ( MS Word, Excel etc) Technical skills and ability to guide and direct subordinates.
