Qatar Foundation is an established organization, with a variety of Centres, programs and plans for expansion, our process began with designing/reworking the mission statement of the Foundation and the Centres and then looking at the broader issues of vision.
Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development is a private, chartered, non-profit organization headquartered in Doha, Qatar. The Foundation hosts branch campuses of Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts, Weill Cornell Medical College, Texas A & M University, Carnegie Mellon University and Georgetown University. It is also home to Qatar Academy, the Learning Center, the Academic Bridge Program, the Rand-Qatar Policy Institute, Al-Shaqab Stud and Riding Academy, Fitch Qatar and Qatar Science and Technology Park. Qatar Foundation’s other projects include the Qatar Diabetes Association and the Social Development Center.
Responsibilities
• To direct the overall activities of the Central Plants (Energy Centres) and individual plant rooms in the Education City in a safe and cost effective manner, to fully meet the objectives of Qatar foundation, and it’s branch Campuses.
• To ensure that all operational & maintenance activities conform to International Standards, Statutory Regulations, Foundation's Policies and Procedures, whether they form a part of routine planned activities, major overhauls, or projects.
• To integrate multi-discipline, inter-department, project and contractor activities to facilitate a high degree of availability and reliability of the equipment and the facilities.
• To exercise effective cost control, so as to operate the facilities within approved budget plan.
• To take full and ultimate responsibility for the safety and the Central Plants, Facilities and personnel, availability of the Computerized Building Management System, and implementation of the emergency and evaluation procedures.
Requirements
At least 15 years of varied maintenance and operational experience in refinery plants or oil/gas production stations, or similar facilities with exposure to large HVAC installations. A minimum of 8 years experience must be at section/division head level. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with experience in computerized maintenance management systems is essential. Professional membership of a recognized Engineering Body is a requirement. Incumbent must possess leadership skills, and ability to make decisions. Good knowledge of English is essential. He must be very familiar with the use of the computer and its applications.
