The Company:
Qatar National Convention Centre due to open in early 2011 is operated by AEG Ogden, one of the worlds leading venue management specialists, which also manages the Kuala Lumpur and Brisbane, Cairns and Darwin Convention Centres in Australia.
The Person:
We are seeking suitably qualified applicants for the above positions. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, you will have a minimum of two years experience in a similar role ideally within the Convention & Exhibition Industry. You will possess excellent organizational and communication skills and have the ability to build and develop a quick rapport with new and existing clients and generate new business for the Centre. Successful applicants must be able to commence 1 October 2009.
The Position:
You will be responsible for; Promoting the Centre through trades shows, etc Building and maintaining superior client relationships & brand awareness Generation and conversion of new business leads Implementing sales and business initiatives Producing monthly reports Accurate recording of data into our EBMS software system As a senior member in our Sales department, you will be dynamic, driven and results orientated. You will be well presented and able to lead and work as part of a team. Bi-lingual skills in both English and Arabic is mandatory for the Sales Manager-Local & Gulf Region and although not essential for the other roles, would be highly regarded.
