Job Description :
Ensuring the team meets all reporting deadlines for the above companies, including TDB, Clearview, Audits, Budgets (R0/R1/R2/R3 as required) and any other reporting required by Management.
Specific responsibility for the preparation of Fun Fashion TDB and other reporting (eg Bress, Cyrus etc)
Ensuring that all balance sheet reconciliations on the above companies are completed, and schedules prepared in accordance with agreed deadlines, and ensuring the necessary follow-ups are done to resolve any reconciling / disputed items in the following month
Reviewing accountants work to ensure all necessary schedules and reconciliations have been correctly done
Ensuring all retail transactions resulting from bank reconciliations compiled by other departments are resolved and booked in the following month
Ensuring that junior accountants process all credit card transactions correctly, and any queries, problems or other issues involved are quickly resolved
Ensuring that all cash collections from the shop sales are deposited on time per agreed deadlines
Ensuring all retail transactions are correctly and accurately dealt with
Petty cash spot checks at the stores
Desired Candidate's Profile
Profile Qualifications / Experience:
- Degree qualified
- Professional qualification (equivalent of UK ACCA/CIMA/ICA)
- Must have a minimum of 12 years
experience in finance / accounting roles
- Must have a minimum of 5 – 7 years experience of financial reporting and control within the RETAIL industry in Dubai
- Must have staff management experience (at least 5 staff)
- Good experience with ERP and excel is a must
