Responsibilities
• Develop Firmware for Demand Response and Communication Products. • Responsible for firmware development in new wireless telemetry products as well as technical specification, design, implementation, support and engineering verification of firmware. Knowledge should include real time firmware development, device drivers and interrupt handlers, RTOS (multi-threaded, multi-tasking), object oriented design concepts, and familiarity with revision control systems for maintaining code. • The ideal candidate will be resourceful, enthusiastic, self-motivated and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar education • 3-4 years experience in firmware design and development in C++ and assembly language • Proven experience with development of real time microprocessor based communication products, especially those with low power consumption • Experience with Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) products, Demand Response products is a plus. • Experience with metering products and low current consumption products are a big advantage. Position is a 4-6months overseas contract, based at client’s R&D facility. Candidates with valid travel document to Europe only need apply.
