A global Middle East based insurance company is seeking highly qualified Underwriter to join their team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be directly reporting to the Branch Manager.
Responsibilities:
• Record policy data within operating standards and issue policies.
• Arrangement of reinsurance and ensure reinsurance allocation is correct.
• Provide progress reports and explanations of delays, problems and solutions.
• Underwrite all lines of business in the Middle East, including engineering business.
• Develop and underwrite the allocated classes of business to achieve the business plan.
Requirements:
• At least 10 years post qualification experience and ACII (or equivalent) qualified, of which some should be within the direct insurance acceptance sector.
• Good understanding of statutory and market standards, staff management experience preferred.
• Technical expertise, Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
